Não há pauta na quinta, quando na quarta faleceu Steve Jobs

É o seguinte, é simplesmente impossível não falar de Steve Jobs nessa quinta-feira. Não interessa quantas pautas você tinha no bolso, ou quantas ideias estava desenvolvendo, ou que tem um maluco por aí fazendo cirurgias pra se tornar a cara do Super Homem – qualquer outra pauta fica com cara de superficial, irrelevante, ridícula perto do fato de que um dos maiores CEOs dos últimos tempos faleceu.

No ramo da tecnologia então, esquece. O problema da Wikipedia italiana passa despercebido, gamers que resolvem se mobilizar pra contornarem cláusulas suspeitas da EULA parece notícia pequena, nada consegue ser maior do que falar sobre o aumento da procura da biografia de Jobs, de rememorar seus principais e mais inspiradores vídeos e similares.

: Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

: I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.

: you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

: Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.

Eu não tenho culpa. Entendo que Jobs não é exatamente a última bolacha do pacote, mas como bem disse Alexandre Matias, Steve foi a última grande personalidade do século XX. Agora, somos todos uma massa amorfa, sem rosto, Anonymous que se mobilizam (ou não) e que fazem acontecer, ou não.

Quando Steve Jobs deixa o seu posto na Terra, é a sua vez, nerd e geek de plantão, de tentar fazer algo grandioso acontecer.
